Claudia Schiffer

Claudia Schiffer, a key figure in fashion, was born in Rheinberg, Germany on 25 August 1970. When she was 17, she was discovered in a Hamburg nightclub. In no time, the golden-haired goddess tasted success with a highly publicised Guess Jeans campaign, which caught the eye of Karl Lagerfeld. Claudia Schiffer would accept a long collaboration with Karl and become his muse for 7 years.

Karl wasn't the only one impressed: many legendary photographers, designers, artists and couture houses welcomed the top model, who would eventually become a household name. Claudia represented global campaigns for luxury fashion and fragrance houses such as Chanel, Ferragamo, Dolce & Gabbana, YSL and Alberta Ferretti.

Known as the first model in history to grace the covers of Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair, The New York Times and People, Claudia turns heads around the world. Indeed, international celebrity has followed her for 22 years. But this L'Oréal ambassador, one of the most beautiful women in the world, has evolved from her modelling career.

As an artistic director, Claudia recently launched her own brand of cashmere sweaters and staged her first Fall/Winter 2011-2012 collection in a mini-film directed by Dann Vaia.
