Anne Hathaway is an American actress best known for her performances in "The Devil Wears Prada" and "The Princess Diaries". Since the success of the film, she has made a number of TV, film and stage appearances and even won an Emmy in 2010 for her voiceover performance on "The Simpsons".
Despite being an amazing film actress, Anne has admitted that she prefers performing in the theatre which was where she began her career. She is a versatile actress and has performed a wide variety of roles both on stage and on screen, from children's animations like "Rio" to dramas like "Rachel Getting Married".
In 2011, Anne returned to her roots when it was confirmed she would play Fantine in the film version of the popular theatrical musical "Les Misérables". The starlet ditched her signature long chestnut locks in favour of a pixie cut for the role. Despite the dramatic change, she remained in high spirits and said: "Getting to transform is one of the best parts of acting."
In addition to her acting work, Anne is also heavily involved with numerous charities including The Creative Coalition, The Step Up Women's Network and The Lollipop Theatre Network. She married her boyfriend of almost three years, Adam Shulman, in September 2012.
