Ulyana Sergeenko: 4 looks in 3 days
Her name may not mean anything to you now, but mark our words, it soon will. The divine Ulyana Sergeenko, after having graced a number of catwalks with her enigmatic presence, has finally unveiled her first fashion collection.
She speaks through her outfits as they are colourful, romantic, slightly gothic and most of all, utterly Russian, just like her.
Ulyana's week in Paris
The Paris Haute Couture Fashion week, which was held from 1 to 5 July 2012, was the week to discover Ulyana Sergeenko. She was at all the shows, gaining inspiration from other designers such as Valentino and Jean-Paul Gaultier. The ravishing Russian was a walking promotion: she wore her own creations at all of the shows to show off her soon-to-be released collection.
Some of her looks were show-stopping... and that is saying a lot considering the context.
At the Gaultier catwalk, we saw Ulyana playing the part of a black widow whilst dressed in long black dress made of see-through chiffon[/article]. She wore an imposing crown of dark flowers, which descended into a black veil over her face.
Ulyana looked a lot less black widow-like at the Valentino runway, where she wore a long, flowery dress under a black chiffon petticoat. We also spotted her looking fantastic in a white ankle-length dress covered in polka dots.
Working her lookUlyana Sergeenko's hairstyles were at times reserved and low-profile, and at others, they were the epitome of [article=457]countryside youthfulness.
The stylist brought Russia to Paris with her low chignons, plaited crowns and centre parting.
Ulyana definitely has one essential item in her make-up bag: her lipstick, which she wears in shades of red and dark pink to create an eye-catching contrast against her pale complexion.
To bring out her big blue eyes, all she needed to do was use a black lengthening mascara. Nothing more than that!
Keep your eyes on Ulyana
Ulyana is definitely a future icon to keep an eye on!
