The L'Oréal Braid Bar, a Parisian hit
On 6 September 2012, L'Oréal Paris set up a Braid Bar at the Place Maurice Barrès in Paris for an exclusive event: the 2012 Vogue Fashion Night Out. Needless to say, this was a great opportunity for us to go out and get pampered like celebrities. We couldn't wait for our turn to get coiffed!
Right after work, my colleague and I rushed off to the event where the city's fashionistas and beauty fanatics were waiting.
THE place to be at was definitely the L'Oréal Paris Braid Bar.
Upon our arrival we quickly joined the queue and took in the ambiance. The smell of hairspray wafting through the air, along with the reverent crowd of ladies, reminded us that this was indeed a temple of hairstyle.
After waiting a few minutes, which were spent watching different girls emerge from the Bar, visibly delighted with their hair, it was our turn... I went off to one side and my colleague the other.
We would meet up at the end, transformed under the expert care of L'Oréal hair stylists.
Just fifteen minutes later, my hairdo was done! Surprised with the dexterity of my hair stylist, I emerged with a braided chignon and joined my colleague who now sported a lovely braided crown.
Around us, several just-coiffed ladies wore different variations of the braid: the banana braid, the Egyptian braid and even the fish tail braid.
Of course, we couldn't resist taking photos and sharing our beautiful braids with the world on Twitter and Instagram. Around us, ladies charmed by their new hairdos were doing the same.
One thing is for sure: the L'Oréal Braid Bar was a complete success. We can't wait to see the next pop-up hair bar!
