Tali Lennox, Male Models and Vespas... all at 7.30am
Yesterday at 7.30am, an army of pink mopeds carrying men in white coats with chiselled jaws and coordinating white helmets sped down Regent Street in London. No, it wasn't the 2012 Mod convention it was the grand opening of the Juicy Couture flagship store.
Male models and mopeds
The twenty men were male models and they parked their customised Vespa mopeds outside the store before posing with British model Tali Lennox. The scene was almost a piece of installation art and no doubt caused a few onlookers to choke on their morning coffee.
Flower adorned Vespa
Gone are the days of pink ribbons and novelty scissors to launch stores. Nowadays, brands are getting creative with their openings. If the army of male models wasn't enough to cause a stir, Tali's get-up was; she rocked a sixties-inspired , flower-adorned two-piece trouser suit as she perched confidently on her matching customised Vespa.
The brunette beauty sported her tresses in a bouffant with a side swept fringe and a few rebellious strands loose around her face. She chose natural foundation, smokey eyes and nude lipstick, which was in keeping with the retro flavour of the shoot.
Tuesday morning wake-up call
"It was quite surreal and very fun," she told ElleUk.com. She didn't ride a Vespa herself, because she said it would upset her mum.
"It's fun when you find yourself in an unexpected situation, like sitting at the front of a group of models on Vespas at 7:30 in the morning," she giggled.
Let's put it this way: that much early morning man candy is one way to shake off Tuesday morning blues.
If you fancy getting your own bouffant
We know that you don't have a crew of male models that will scooter up to make your morning better. But you CAN have a fabulous hairdo... another great way to start a day!
Wash and blow dry your hair and apply mousse generously. Take a section from centre of crown, separate into two sections and clip into place. Now separate the back into 3 sections of similar size, brush middle section to the crown and secure with a grip. Take the side section, pull over to middle and secure with two more grips. Repeat with final section. Create a barrel curl using the length of the back 3 sections and secure with grips. Push left over hair into the centre of the barrel curl.
Take one of the front sections, backcomb the hair on one side, then do the other side. Apply hairspray generously and sweep the teased hair backwards over the top of the barrel curl you created earlier, section by section and smooth.
Pin the hair into the barrel curl underneath to secure. Apply hairspray generously to finish.
There you go!
