Laetitia Casta's red-lipped Venice swansong
The 8 September saw the 69th Venice International Film Festival come to a close, providing one last opportunity for Laetitia Casta to dazzle us on the red carpet in Italy.
Unlike the opening ceremony, there was not a visible trace of Laetitia's underwear to be seen as she glided past the cameras at the closing ceremony. The L'Oréal brand ambassador went for a dress that was sheer in places, just not in all places...
A glamourous farewell
In her dreamy, powder-pink gown, Laetitia was elegant and feminine, right down to her perfectly pedicured tootsies. It was a great look to end a lovely, and very glamourous, film festival.
Beauty pro that she is, Laetitia matched this elegant dress with a classic hairstyle that has been gracing red carpets around the world for decades: a faux bob. Recently, we've seen both Marion Cotillard and Vanessa Hudgens sporting this look, but we were particularly impresed with Laetitia's efforts.
How to NOT cut your hair...
After styling her hair into flawless Hollywood waves at the front, Laetitia artfully pinned her dark locks under in the back to give the impression that she had the perfect short bob-style haircut.
.. and was able to return to her pretty brunette tresses after the ceremony! A great beauty illusion if ever there was one.
All about the lipstick
Laetitia Casta has never been one to fade into the background at any red carpet event and in Venice, she reminded us why. With her glamourous frock and gorgeous hairdo, the only thing left to do was choose the right lisptick, which, for Laetita, meant a bright red shade.
The colour contrasted beautifully with her dress and made for some of the most glamourous photos of the whole evening. We love a lady who knows how to use her lipstick!
This isn't the end...
The Venice International Film Festival might be over for this year, but the beauty inspiration it's provided will stay with us for a while yet! Why not keep the red-carpet spirit alive yourself by wearing a bright lipstick, à la Laetitia, the next time you get dressed up? Otherwise, remember to match your pants to your dress...
