Kimbra, soon to be somebody we all know
"Somebody That I Used To Know" is a song that, well, everyone knows.
But do you know Kimbra, the Kiwi singer who appears alongside the rather naked Gotye in the video?
Already a household name in Australia, Kimbra will soon be travelling all over the world to promote her first album.
And rest assured-- for those of you who have seen the 'Somebody That I Used to Know' video, Kimbra doesn't always wear paint all over her body.
Let the tour begin!
Kimbra's tour kicked off on the 14 June 2012, at radio station 104.5 iHeartRadio, in Bala Cynwyd in Pennsylvania, USA.
For the occasion, the adorable Kimbra went retro. She is already a big fan of old-school. Her video for the clip "Settle Down," for example, is full of images of Stepford wives 60s glamour.
For her radio appearance, she wore a short-sleeved turquoise sweater with a white collar... straight out of the 50s! She paired the look tastefully with a little black skirt and bright red sandals... and retro perfect bright red lips. (Did Kimbra study up on our 50s fashion guide ?)
Make-Up
Kimbra opted for an absolute classic for her make-up: a foil-proof pairing of vibrant red lipstick and black eye-liner set off by a natural skin tone. She brought out her eyes with a bit of light eye-shadow and mascara.
Kimbra is gifted with glistening black hair that popped against her pale complexion and cherry-red lips (for an almost Snow White effect).
She keeps her hair healthy and well-mosturised and rocks a great short cut with a straight-cut fringe. Thus, for her radio appearance, she simply let it hang down to her shoulders for a great look. While she went super straight for the appearance (and for the "Somebody I Used to Know" video), she also occasionally rocks pretty ringlet curls.
Keep posted
With her talent and her look, we're predicting that pretty soon, Kimbra will be somebody we all know!
