We spotted Katie Holmes on the cover of the August 2012 edition of ELLE US and she looked sexier than ever. Here, she had long straight hair with a fringe, and now we're trying to figure out if we prefer the recently-divorced actress with or without a fringe.

Katie Holmes is a bit of a style chameleonand changes her look fairly often to keep us on our toes. Still, whatever the hairstyle, a fringe suits Katie Holmes perfectly. She was already wearing one back in 2008.At the January 2008 premiere of "Mad Money" in Los Angeles, Katie Holmes's hair was cut into a lovely straight bob which was layered and had a long side fringe. This looked simple yet chic and it flattered the beautiful actress' square face.
However, our real favourite is still the one on the front cover of ELLE US. By choosing a long fringe and beautifully smooth, straight hair, Katie Holmes becomes a true femme fatale.

When she doesn't have a fringe, she puts the emphasis on her long locks instead, either tying them up in ponytail or leaving them loose to tumble over her shoulders.
