Kate Middleton works wonders on the wellies

Trust Kate Middleton to look absolutely lovely even when rocking the most schlumpy of English attire: the wellie.

We are used to seeing Kate Middleton in classy pumps, fascinators and tailored frocks. But when she went with William to support a children's wilderness exploration programme on 17 June 2012, she didn't shy from practical wellies.

Not only is she stunning, but she is a girl who isn't going to fuss about with heels getting stuck in the mud. We love that!

Kate showed us that a girl can look pretty even when going practical. So are you... running out to the supermarket? Heading off to your job as a waitress? Doesn't matter! You still have the right to show your pretty self off! Here are some Kate tips.

The hair

Kate opted for a half-up, half-down look. This is the perfect example of a practical but pretty style. She tied her hair off her face with a clip, but left is long and loose and curled prettily at the ends.

Here's another tip: Kate Middleton takes good care of her hair , keeping it moisturised, clean and well-trimmed... which minimizes the daily time she has to put into her hair.

The make-up

Kate goes for natural, a look that translates well to the casual look (not so sure that smokey eyes would look so fabulous with wellies, for example.)

After starting with a light foundation base, she brings colour to her cheeks with a little blush and uses eye-liner, a hint of light eye-shadow and mascara to bring out her pretty eyes.

But most of all...

The key to a great everyday look is to take care of yourself! Drink water, get some exercise, protect your skin from the sun and use good moisturisers.
