With a number of projects planned for the future , Jennifer Lopez recently announced her decision to leave the jury of American Idol after two years at the judges' table.
It's clear that the American programme will sorely miss the singer, actress, dancer, producer and L'Oreal Paris ambassador.
Busy schedule
"I honestly think it's time for me to go back and do something else," Jennifer said to show host Ryan Seacrest.
Judging from her numerous projects in the works--a movie and a television spot, as well as the launch of her new Best-of album and a world tour that began on June 14--the singer is indeed busy on all fronts. Oh, did we mention she has motherhood on her plate, too?
However, by leaving her role as a judge, Jennifer Lopez will leave a great void.
Judging capabilities aside, the bomba latina has given us a real beauty show for the last two years (she won hands down any inter-panel competition with fellow judges Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler.) Alternating preppy, wild, ultra-chic and diva looks, Jennifer Lopez was simply stunning with each one of her appearances.
Who will join Randy?
Jennifer's departure echoes the decision of Steven Tyler (member of the band Aerosmith), who had announced the day before he would be leaving the jury of American Idol.
