It's a miracle... Kate changes her hairstyle!
OMG! Kate Middleton has changed her hair! No, you did not read that wrong! The Duchess of Cambridge ditched her signature style of tumbling waves for a side parting and very chic low chignon on the red carpet at The Royal Academy of Arts in London last night.
Kate's adventurous side
Kate loves to wear her chestnut tresses loose. On occasion, she goes for a half-up, half-down style, but this latest 'do is almost revolutionary for the Duchess. She dared a new casual look last week when she donned a polo shirt and skinny jeans[/article]. Now, she has changed up her hair! It looks like the Olympics are bringing out Kate's adventurous side... What next, trainers and a cap?
All jokes aside, she really pulled off the style and, as always, she looked beautiful. She wore a short-sleeved grey dress with matching suede heels, jewel-encrusted hoop earrings and a sequined clutch.
The Duchess was also rocking heavy eyeliner, a [article=859]red-carpet trend this season. She matched the look with nude lipstick and natural foundation: the perfect way to sport this style.
Kate goes solo
Kate had spent the day with Prince William, Prince Harry and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, cheering on Zara Phillips at the Olympics. She was at the glitzy event alone but spent time chatting with Stella McCartney, the Royal Academy of the Arts president Christopher Lebrun and David Cameron.
Speaking of the PM, he had the audience giggling during his speech to open the event when he said to Kate: "My favourite part of the opening ceremony was when your husband leant over and said to me 'I don't know if you know, Prime Minister, but my grandmother is a great fan of Dizzee Rascal."
Keep posted
The Duchess is expected to attend up to 15 Olympic events in the next two weeks, so, needless to say, she is going to be very busy! We'll hope for more adventures soon!
