Yesterday, on the eve of International Women's Day, Doutzen Kroes teamed up with L'Oréal Paris and Marie Claire to encourage women everywhere to tweet their wishes. Now that the day has arrived, L'Oréal Paris have released a video of Hollywood icon Jane Fonda stating her own wish for women everywhere.

In the video above, Jane aims big by wishing for violence against women around the world to stop.

"Because when that happens, everything will change," she explained.

As the video comes to a rather poignant close, she utters "we're worth it", using L'Oréal Paris' trademark slogan to underline just how important the promotion of women's rights is.

You can tweet your own wish for women by using the hashtag #WomenWishes.

To see another L'Oréal Paris lady championing the cause of women's rights, health, education and access to justice, take a look at Chime for Change. This exciting project is spearheaded by Beyoncé Knowles who, alongside actress Salma Hayek and creative director for Gucci Frida Giannini, aims to improve the lives of women all around the world.
