How to rock intense eyes
Intense eyes are owning red carpets and runways across the globe right now. With more and more celebs and models adopting the trend, it is set to continue throughout the season. The uber intense make-up creates a seductive if not slightly spooky look, but to prevent us from cowering under our chairs in fear, the stylists are toning down the rest of the look.
Intense trend
When Milan Fashion Week kicked off yesterday, it wasn't the explosion of colour on the catwalk that caught our attention, but rather one show's uber-intense eye make-up.
The model we zoomed in on was characteristic of the entire Gucci show.
She sported a banana yellow outfit with decorative gold embellishments and matching gold droplet earrings. Her chocolate locks were swept back in a wet-look style with a centre parting. She wore natural foundation, nude lipstick and extremely intense eyeliner. The hairstyle threw all the attention on her eyes and made them look even more intense. Talk about a statement, wow!
How and where to wear intense eyes
We have seen a variety of celebs rocking intense eyes in their own way, proving it is a versatile look. How intense you want to go will depend on the situation. Going to work like that could creep your colleagues out, but you could certainly rock intense eyes on a night out or a romantic night in.
Hairstyle and clothes
Tone down the rest of your make-up by combining with nude lips and a natural foundation. If you want to make a real statement go for wet look hair but if you want a more subtle look (well as subtle as you can get with intense eyes) go for a softer more textured 'do like Suki Waterhouse rocked to London Fashion Week. This look works best with bright block colours, but you can get away with black if you go for textured fabrics, like Nicole Richie did at the ALMAs.
For ultimate intensity, keep a straight face!
