How to grow out your fringe in style
As far as beauty goes, the fringe might be one of the trickiest things to deal with of all, especially when you want to grow it out.
Lots of little kids have bangs and there are a lot of women out there who are completely and utterly flummoxed by the idea of growing out their fringe. These ladies resign themselves to their bang-tastic looks for all eternity, but you don't have to be one of them...
If you have a fringe you want to get shot of, stick around and peruse our top tips for growing out your fringe in style.
Tie, clip, twist and pin
An updo is the obvious way forward if you're growing out a fringe. Pull your hair back into a high ponytail after pinning your fringe back with a couple of delicate hairpins. Anything that's piled high on your head lends itself to pinning your fringe back underneath it, like one of those big buns we've been going on about. There's even the crazy banana chignon if you're feeling fruity...
If that doesn't float your hairstyle boat, twist your fringe to one side and secure with... yep, more pins for a really retro look. Alternatively, just pin your fringe to one side for a... well, a modern side-swept look. You can also braid your side-swept locks into a side-braid, fishtail or traditional... your choice! If anything, growing out a fringe is the perfect excuse to get creative with your hairstyle. It's always fun to try out new looks!
It's all about control, so be the master of your own fringe... it doesn't really have a life of its own, promise.
Get busy with the scissors!
Well, preferably not you, your hair stylist. Get your fringe cut out at an angle once it's gone past your eyebrows, it'll help it blend in with the rest of your hair and will also soften a harsh blunt cut.
Remember: you should be getting a haircut every 4-6 weeks!
Whilst you're there, think about dying your hair. Adding a bit of light to the tips of your fringe will draw attention to the ends and make it look longer. Everyone loves a good optical illusion!
Wrap it up
Finally, we have the fail-safe option. Invest in some snazzy headbands and scarves. They're the easiest, comfiest, fastest way to push your fringe back and add a splash of colour to your whole look. Bright headscarves are fun and come in all sorts of colours and designs. If you're really strapped for time, an elasticated headband will do the same thing and you won't waste any time fumbling about, tying a knot.
So there you have it, all the info you'll need to get rid of your fringe and look great at the same time!
