How to get Demi Lovato's amazing quiff
When it comes to hair, Demi Lovato likes to experiment. Sure enough, the 'do she wore on 8 July in North Carolina raised a few eyebrows, but we'd also like to give her a big round of applause!
The diva rocked her blonde and pink locks in an amazing big quiff, taking the half up half-down style to new heights, literally. Look out, Kate Middleton.
The X Factor judge is a natural brunette but has dyed her hair both blonde and red and has tried out highlights in both caramel and pink... and that's just in the past year. Phew!
Show-stealing style
We have to admit we just LOVE the look; it's bold sassy and show-stealing. Demi paired it with a bright orange lace dress, a leather jacket and peep-toe black heels.
She accessorised with gold rings, bracelet and earrings.
Glam' make-up
Demi went for equally glam make-up. She chose natural foundation and then launched into bold statement cat-flick eye-liner. Her eyebrows had been shaped and tinted for the occasion and she sported extra-long lashes. Nude lipstick finished the unconventional look.
I want that quiff
Quiffs are big at the moment with both boys and girls.
We have seen Sonam Kapoor, Justin Bieber, Julianne Hough and Will.I.Am all rocking quiffs.
How to...
If you fancy stealing a few shows yourself, brush freshly washed hair backwards and separate into two sections, one at the front in the centre and one at the back.
Clip the front-centre section out of the way. Brush the back section into a half-up, half-down style with a ponytail. Secure the ponytail with a hairband and then pull out a strand from the gathering, wrapping it around the ponytail holder to make a pretty and natural-looking band. Use pins to secure it (hidden away under the pony).
Now, it's time to attack the quiff. You will need to apply a lot of hairspray and to do a lot of teasing but the well-concealed secret to a great quiff is to use a special poof accessory under your hair. A hairpiece like a Bumpit will give you the volume you want. Pin your hair over the accessory to conceal it.
... Voila, you're red carpet ready!
