How to get Cheryl Cole's make-up

Just a few hours before she stepped onto the red carpet, British singer Cheryl Cole was sporting an entirely different, enviable look!

We loved the fiery red carpet look she showed off several hours later, but we also loved this simpler look she wore while filming a little endorsement video for L'Oréal!

Cheryl looked sweet and sassy with a bouncy, voluminous ponytail and popping glossy pink lips! The L'Oréal team called her a "ray of sunshine!"

A few tips to get the same look:

It's all in the eyes.

Cheryl loves strong, dark, liquid eye-liner (in fact, in the video endorsement, she said she just isn't herself without it!) For the same effect, use a kohl pencil under your eye a liquid eye-liner on your upper lid. To create a straight line, it helps to use one hand to stretch the skin of your eyelid tight to give you an easy surface.

Cheryl also builds up her lashes with voluminious mascara.

A kiss of colour

Cheryl doesn't shy away from colour... consider the poppin' outfits she wore in her most recent music video ("Call My Name.") She thus chose a bright fuschia for her lips, adding Glam Shine, the gloss she advertises for L'Oréal!

Bounce in her step, uh, we mean hair!

The last part of her look was her hair. Cheryl is a fan of big hair so even her ponytail had volume! For the same effect, you can't just throw your hair into a ponytail, you have to style it first. Wash it, then dry it to give it that bounce and volume (to maintain shine like Cheryl, use a heat protection product so as not to damage your hair!) Backcomb the front section a tiny bit to creat a mini-quiff in your ponytail before attaching your hair with an elastic!
