How to do smokey eyes, Jessie J style

Tousled tresses and sexy studs

The starlet looked like a rock chick in her stud-embellished, black leather jacket and matching hot-pants. The open jacket revealed a rebellious, black T-shirt that simply read "BOY". She accessorised with a co-ordinating silver nose stud.

Her hair was in a tousled bob with loose waves and a side-parting. The style framed her face beautifully.

It's all about the eyes

The make-up was all about those smokey eyes: she used black eye shadow, heavy mascara and eye-liner on her top eyelid. For the ultimate impact she darkened her eyebrows too. Natural foundation and nude lipstick left the emphasis on the eyes whilst complimenting her flawless complexion.

Recreate Jessie's smokey eye look

Smokey eyes are versatile, sexy and would be great for a night out. To get them, using liquid eyeliner, trace your lower eyelash from the inside out. Smudge slightly in the corner and do the same on your eyelid. Apply black eye shadow all over the lid and finish with two coats of mascara.

Using an eyebrow pencil, the same colour as your brows or darker if you are blonde, trace the bottom of your eyebrow from inside out, then trace the top and gently fill in your brow. Using a small make-up brush, blend in the colour. Smooth in natural foundation from your nose outwards and to finish apply nude lipstick.
