Hair-raising heights
Up, up and away.
And a whole lot of hairspray.
The look du jour at the NCLR ALMA Awards was definitely big hair. And we're talking nachos grande here.
Buns away!
Roselyn Sanchez, an American actess and former Miss Puerto Rico, topped off her look with a giant chignon perched on the crown of her head. The look definitely made a statement but remained classy. This was probably because Roselyn's updo was the perfect sleek and chic culmination of a sweeping elegance put into motion by her lacy black dress.
A quiff-erent style
Actress Victoria Rowell went for a different type of volume.
She teased and sprayed her hair into a magnificent quiff. Instead of following the quiff with a sleek bun (à la Roselyn Sanchez), Victoria let her hair tumble into a delightfully messy and romantic look. Her dress, printed with butterflies, opened out as wide as a set of wings.
What with the hair and the dress, Victoria was definitely aiming sky-ward. Victoria likes statement looks. At the Primetime Emmys, for example, she wore a dress printed with Obama's face. Oh, yes she did.
