A perfect example was the 8th May 2011 at the American X-Factor auditions in LA when Cheryl turned up with immaculately-styled hair. Taking inspiration from the pop legend Tina Turner, Cheryl's hair was the definition of BIG. Here's how you can achieve the same sexy volume...
First, wash your hair with a good shampoo. Rinse with cool water so as not to damage your hair. Towel-dry your hair and apply a styling mousse: this will give you a nice amount of volume without weighing down your hair. Now blow-dry your hair upside-down.
Once your hair is dry, divide your hair into two sections, front and back. Backcomb the back section using a fine-tooth comb and let the front section fall back over it. Next, use your straightening irons to add some curls. To do this, wrap a piece of hair around them then unravel slowly. This simple technique will give you gorgeous curls. Finally, use a strong-hold hairspray to keep your hair in place all day long.
