Get a hat-happy beauty look
Although we haven't even reached Hallowe'en yet, the evenings are getting longer and there's already a chill in the air. So it seems like now is the time to start thinking about winter beauty looks and, of course, how you're going to wear that all-important winter hat...
Recently, we spotted Tali Lennox with a baker-boy style hat during London Fashion Week and last night we saw Alysson Paradis wearing a woolly hat in Paris. Aside from being a successful French actress and Vanessa Paradis' little sister, it seems as though Alysson is a bit of a winter style wizard, too.
Hat hair
It can be tricky to know how to make the most of your hair when you've got a hat on but we think that Alysson got her cosy look just right.
Side braids (fishtail or regular) are a great, simple way to add a girly touch to any outfit. If you keep it loose and let the odd strand escape, you'll end up with a lovely romantic style. What's more, braids like Alysson's aren't bulky updos, so you can plonk a hat on top of them!
Winter make-up
Another way to jazz up your look during the colder months is to make a statement with your make-up. You can go for a bright lipstick like Alysson's or you could emphasise your eyes with some bold eyeliner or a bright eyeshadow. The trick is not to go over the top.
Remember, hats and scarves will keep you warm but too much make-up will probably look silly and just end up costing you lots of money. That said, feel free to slap on as much moisturizer as you like during winter as your skin is more likely to become dry and irritated in colder conditions.
Now we've given you a few winter beauty ideas, all you have to do is choose the right hat! Happy shopping...
