Fourth time's the charm: K-stew's favourite necklace
Kristen Stewart's favourite seems to be a delicate pendant necklace. She has rocked the gold chain to numerous events this year including last night at the showing of "On the Road" at the Toronto Film Fest as well as at San Diego's Comic-Con and twice at Cannes.
A lot has changed for Kristen over the past month-- the illusion of her fairytale romance was shattered with a shockingly public infidelity scandal-- but her favourite jewel, like a diamond, seems like it will stay forever.
Canadian sleek
Last night, the often-casual Kristin glammed up her look with sleek make-up, a polished ponytail and a new auburn tint to her long hair and plucked eyebrows. K-Stew's favourite pendant could be seen peeking out from under the sheer neckline of her pretty dress. Altogether, her first public appearance since the scandal had a glossed-over look.
Versatile
Kristen's Comic-Con outfit clearly illustrated the necklace's versatility. Kristen paired it with a casual get-up: a white crop top with a high-waisted skirt and black high-top trainers.
When Kristen was at Cannes for the "On the Road" photo call she wore it with another low-key look: a white top, black blazer and shades.
The second time she wore it at Cannes was when she stepped onto the red carpet for the film. That time, she glammed it up with an ivory dress with green and black patterned detail and a plunging neckline.
Another common thread
One thing that all the outfits have in common (apart from the necklace) is the hair and make-up, which Kristen keeps pretty much the same. She loves sporting her chestnut tresses in a natural, side-swept style.
Last night, she added a touch of red lippy but stuck to wearing oh-so-natural foundation and a touch of eyeliner. Her favourite chill style.
How to wear your favourite accessory
The "On The Road" star's necklace is delicate enough to work with a variety of outfits and does not have the boldness to overshadow a look. However, even if you have a favourite accessory that is a centrepiece, it can still work with a range of outfits.
If it has a bold colour, show it off by matching it with your bag or shoes or even better, both. If the piece is more subtle (like Kristen's), then you have more room to match it with a variety of looks, both casual and sexy. But if it is an elegant accessory, like a pearl necklace, avoid matching it with casual threads: stick to cocktail dresses and trouser suits for the best impact.
