Fashion Week Zoom: wet hair look at Alberta Ferretti

The fashion creations of Italian designer Alberta Ferretti were on show earlier this week. Her models showed off a trend that has been appearing on lots of catwalks... the wet-hair look.

I just don't know about this look. One of my French colleagues banged on about how this gives us a taste a the beach, how a veritable wave of freshness hits the runway and how we all start thinking about mermaids (she said it soooo much better than I did.)

But I still can't help but think that it looks a little bit greasy. In a slicked back ponytail, à la J.Lo, it doesn't look half bad especially when paired with big hoops. But if your hair is left down then, to me, it just looks like your poor locks are crying out for a good washing.
