Fan Bingbing glows as a Chinese goddess
L'Oréal ambassador Fan Bingbing arrived as lovely as a lotus at the opening ceremony for the 65th Cannes Film Festival.
The Chinese actress, voted the most beautiful woman in China, was stunning in an extravagant Geisha look.
Fan Bingbing's Christopher Bu dress alluded to traditional Chinese folk-tales with a colourful pattern of pink flowers, blue butterflies and whimsical people. Delicate gold embroidery reminiscent of the kimono and an emerald trim embellished the bustier dress.
Fan's divine dress also fanned out in a long train, which seemed to be the trend of the evening. Fellow L'Oréal spokesperson Eva Longoria held the photographer's gaze with a stunning, ultra-long train dress in gathered muslin and Master of Ceremonies Bérénice Béjo graced the stage in a long, ruby rube.
Opal skin, ruby lips and coal-black eyes
Fan Bingbing used make-up to emphasize her seductive geisha look. Her skin glowed with an opal complexion, which made her fiery orange lips, bold eyeliner and lusciously long and dark lashes stand out.
She added an extra touch of glamour with luxuriously-painted nails, a small detail but important detail.
The jewels that complete the look
A true princess is decked in jewels... and Fan Bingbing knows how to choose the perfect accessories for delicate and glamorous detail. She stepped onto the red carpet with a green and gold clutch that went perfectly with her dress and her carefully chosen jewellery: a whimsical, diamond-encrusted watch and exquisite sapphire Cartier earrings.
The final touch? Elaborate and decadent hair. To complement her look, Fan Bingbing went for a traditional Chinese hairstyle. We are a fan!
