Emmy Rossum, girl with a golden touch
The American actress and singer looked like a Greek goddess in her gold, one shoulder gown. The floor-length number had a long train (Cheryl Cole would be impressed ) and romantic ruffle detail.
She teamed it with gold stone-embellished earrings and a matching ring.
Glamorous from head to toe
Her chestnut tresses were in a loose romantic braid which gave the actress an elegant retro look. She cleverly hid the hair band by wrapping a lock around it. A loose side-parting also helped show off those high cheekbones and her porcelain complexion.
Her make-up was equally glam. She went for natural foundation, XXL eyelashes and sparkling gold eyeshadow on both her upper and lower lids. This really brought out her dreamy brown eyes and went perfectly with that dress! She finished the look with bright fuschia lipstick for the ultimate wow factor!
Get Emmy's glam look
This would be a great look for a summertime ball or a night out with your man. To get the hair, side-part damp hair and braid, then leave overnight. In the morning separate the hair into 3 sections (a small fringe section at the front and two either side of your head) using small clips. Now taking small sections of hair from the back of one side of your head, tease the hair using a fine tooth comb, combing towards the roots. Now smooth over the top and secure with a small crocodile clip. Repeat on the other side. This will create a small beehive effect. Unclip the front section and smooth over to one side, and then secure with a few pins. Sweep the remaining hair to one side and rebraid loosely.
For the make-up, apply the fake eyelashes or get it done in the salon if you are not confident. Trace the top lashes with black mascara. Apply gold eyeshadow all over your eyelids from inside out and blend with a blush. Smooth an even layer of natural foundation over your face from the nose outwards. Finish with a smooch of fuschia lipstick and you are ready to go for gold!
