Doutzen Kroes with wings, on a catwalk...
London Fashion Week has attracted some of the biggest names in fashion, journalism and general famousness to the big smoke recently. A recent addition to the the hordes of fashionistas in London right now is none other than Dutch model Doutzen Kroes.
Busy bee
As an internationally renowned supermodel, Doutzen's diary is a busy one. Doutzen is scheduled to take part in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in December alongside fellow angels Miranda Kerr and Candice Swanepoel. Already in preparation for that event, rumours had been flying around which suggested that Doutzen had opted out of this season's Fashion Week schedule.
Lucky for us... top designer Giles Deacon recruited her for his Spring/Summer 2013 show this week!
The catwalk look
Doutzen strutted her stuff in a strapless black ball gown with a pair of Pegasus-style white wings. So did she look like some kind of monochrome Greek goddess or more like something out of "Black Swan"?
We're going to go with the latter... it was the mix of the black tulle and Dotzen's moody pout that convinced us! It was good to see Doutzen's dark side for a change, after all the bright bikini shoots and fundraising events.
A splash of colour
Doutzen's runway style might have been a bit on the serious side but her fuchsia-stained lips added a splash of colour to her whole look. Her gold lace-up shoes added a playful element to Doutzen's outfit, diffusing that fierce but colourful pout!
It was great to see Doutzen back on the catwalk and we're already looking forward to the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in December.
