Cleopatra proves she is the Queen of the red carpet
Cleopatra Coleman proved it's not just the queen of Egypt who is dangerously beautiful when she hit the red carpet for the premiere of Summit Entertainment's "Step Up Revolution" on 17th July in Hollywood.
The Aussie actress (who plays DJ Penelope in the film) looked like the ultimate femme fatale in her short black dress with sheer panel embellishment. The sheer bit allowed us to glimpse her funky shoulder tat! She paired the sexy dress, which featured cut-out detail, with multi-toned heels and a silver ring.
She's no girl next door
Cleopatra is best known for her role as Glenn Forrest in "Neighbours". But yesterday she was NO girl next door. Her long raven locks were left loose in a sea of silky side-swept waves. The to-the-side style opened up her face and revealed her adorable dimples.
Cleo later threw a Twitter shout out to her beauty team for helping her achieve such a glamorous look!
Cleo (or her stylists!) threw emphasis on her glowing complexion by selecting natural foundation, which they teamed with shimmering eye-shadow, a touch of eye-liner and a flick of mascara.
Her eyebrows had been tinted and shaped for the event. Nude lipstick finished the jaw-dropping look. Like the Queen of Egypt, this Cleo knows how to use make-up to amp up her already her bewitching beauty.
Hitting the waves this summer
We loved Cleopatra's waves and have seen many stars rocking waves on the red carpet this summer. Jessica Chastain sported side-swept waves at Cannes, while Sarah Gadon opted for a softer retro style for the amFAR gala. Blake Lively donned side-swept waves to the "Savages" premiere in LA last month.
A quick way to get waves
Waves are versatile and can work with long or short hair in a variety of styles. If you want to go all out and have constant curls, opt for a perm.
But if you just fancy a change for a special night out or a summer ball; apply leave-in conditioner to damp hair and braid before bed. In the morning, undo the braids for beachy waves. Apply hairspray to hold. A more sculpted look can be obtained with a curling iron and a heavy dose of hairspray.
Queen of the Nile
Queen of the club as DJ Penelope and queen of the red carpet as Cleo, you can bet that she'll soon be eclipsing the Queen of the Nile in history books.
