Big buns all over the place!
It's big bun season and we're not talking about booties or bread rolls. Buns have been popping up all over the red carpet, with celebs rocking everything from neat ballerina buns to loose and XXL chignons.
Bun-tastic
Demi Lovato sported her golden tresses in a high messy bun at the FOX Fall Eco-Casino Party in L.A. yesterday. Kylie Jenner (Kardashian) strutted down the runway at Avril Lavigne's Fashion Week show showing off her big chocolate bun paired with this season's hottest trend, smokey eyes. Bridgit Mendler showed off her take on the autumn trend with a neat ballerina's bun at the "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" premiere.
Practical and pretty
With the wind, rain and hailstone ready to kick in and ruin your beautifully crafted curls or silky straight tresses, we (the fashion gods) have decided to come to the rescue and give you a style that is both fashionable and practical, giving you free reign to go to town on your make-up and glam accessories (see Gaga on that one).
I want a big bun
So if you like your buns big and bold, borrow some red carpet and runway style. Brush your hair to remove tangles, then sweep it into a messy ponytail and then secure with a hairband. Using a rat tail comb, loosen the hair in front of the ponytail to add volume. Starting at the front of your head, grab sections of hair and tease using the comb. Then, twist it under itself and secure at the base of the ponytail using bobby pins. Repeat across the ponytail until all sections are done.
Now you have a bun to be proud of!
