Andy Murray, champion of style
According to our resident tennis/style expert, Andy Murray has entered his golden age.
It started with his two gold medals in the London Olympics and his first Grand Slam title in New York.
And now, the former ugly duckling of tennis (misunderstood, loved/hated and, notably, known to swap his citizenship depending on his mood/his wins/the feeling of his fellow citizens and leaders), is reaping the fruits of his labor.
Now, Andy is the it-man of the moment. And not just in his home town of Dublane, Scotland.
He's even hot in the world of fashion.
Enter Anna Wintour, who invited the Golden Boy to yesterday's Burberry show at London Fashion Week.
The queen of style kept Andy close by her side (new favorite accessory?) Is Andy turning into the next Serena Williams?
The look
Andy Murray turned up to the show in classic English style (meaning no frills), accompanied by his girlfriend Kim Sears.
Andy, a good sportsman, appeared on track with his classic white shirt, long-sleeved grey sweater and a pair of jeans, while his girlfriend opted for a white dress cinched with a brown belt, pointed shoes and a matching bag.
The hero of the moment (and his lady) were welcomed by Anna Wintour, the crowd and the swarming journalists and photographers.
Resting up
Murray is enjoying some well-deserved rest these days.
The man who kept losing in the finals of every tournament has also had another victory.
He has finally silenced that omnipresent question asked at post-match press conferences....
"When will you win a Grand Slam?"
Will it soon become... "When will you release a line of handbags?"
To be seen.
