Alicia Keys electrifies KIIS FM's Jingle Ball

Alicia Keys isn't one to shy away from a bright outfit on the red carpet – take her eye-catching green and black dress at the EMAs for, example – so it came as no great surprise to see that she dazzled photographers at KIIS FM's jingle ball in an electric blue leather jacket.

Blue, blue, electric blue

Electric blue is very much an 'it' colour right now, grabbing attention and a lot of admiration wherever it appears. Actress Rashida Jones wore an electric blue trouser suit to an event in New York and she almost stole Katy Perry's glitzy thunder.

We were equally as impressed with Alica Keys' more relaxed look because she owned the red carpet and somehow managed to look like she wasn't even trying.

On (every) trend

Leather... that's her secret. If you're going for one hot style trend, you might as well nail two while you're at it, and leather is everywhere right now. Alicia clearly realised that a bright leather jacket is always going to stand out against a sea of more traditional red-carpet party looks. She's not the only one, however, as Kristen Stewart managed a similar look with a yellow leather jacket in Paris recently.

Then there's Alicia's lipstick... better make that three hot trends in one outfit. Oxblood is another hot colour this autumn, even if it sounds murderously awful, and it looks great in lipstick form. Good work, Alicia.
