Alice in Fashion Wonderland
Imagine if Lewis Carroll had been a fashion designer, fashioning the world into a ruffled wonderland... well, it seems as though the 19th century author has been reincarnated in the form of Meadham Kirchhoff, who displayed his latest collection at London Fashion Week.
19th century chic
This particular catwalk show looked a lot like the Mad Hatter's tea party. Knee-high socks, lots of bows in lots of colours, ruffles, bright pastels and dainty heels fluttered all down the runway... we were just a little disappointed that the Cheshire Cat didn't appear.
The beauty looks sported by the models were also fairly 19th century chic. Corkscrew curls were big at the Kirchhoff show, literally. The models tottered down the catwalk with their hair piled high, adorned with more bows to match their outfits.
Brows with bite
The make-up style on show was a modern twist on a timeless classic. Cleverly applied blusher and light pink lips were matched with some full, tinted, spikey eyebrows. Eyebrows might only be little things but they can add a whole new dimension to the way you look.
Check out our guide to this season's bigger brows and how to get them. They look great and they're mercifully low-maintenance!
Alice in 21st century wonderland
We loved the mix of old and new in Kirchhoff's latest collection. The frilly outfits were feminine, colourful and very hard to ignore. If Alice were wondering about in a modern-day wonderland, perhaps she'd be wearing that lacy yellow jumpsuit...
